Is this pseudoscience?
Twenty-eight human studies of indoor grounding have been published over twenty years, including an independent, triple-blinded recovery trial at the University of Salzburg (2019) and a randomised, double-blind sleep trial at Kyung Hee University (2025). They report faster recovery, better sleep, steadier cortisol and calmer stress. The samples are small, so we say studies report, not proven, and we list every study we could find, with its sample size and funding, in our research library so you can judge for yourself.
Is plugging into a socket safe?
The cord connects only to the earth pin, the same safety ground your fridge, kettle and every appliance in your home already use. It never touches the live or neutral pins, and no household current flows through it; a built-in 100 kΩ resistor limits any ordinary fault to an imperceptible level. Want certainty? Does it work through socks?
Bare skin gives the strongest connection: feet, palms, or any skin resting on the surface. If you prefer socks, choose thin natural-fibre ones: cotton or bamboo conduct once lightly damp from the skin's natural moisture. Synthetic socks, shoes and thick layers block the path.
What about cleaning and durability?
A damp cloth, then air dry. Never the washing machine, never soaked. That's the whole routine; a mat has no wash cycle to get wrong and needs no testing schedule. Every product carries the 1-year warranty and the 60-day connection guarantee.
Why not just walk barefoot?
