What's in the box?

• Safety Grounding Cord — snap connector at one end, built-in 100 kΩ resistor
• Safety Adapter — for local 3-pin sockets, earth pin only

How do I set up the plug cord?

1. Snap it on. Press the cord's snap onto the metal stud on your sheet, pillowcase, topper or mat until it clicks. All Naturalive products use the same stud.
2. Plug into the adapter. Push the cord's plug end into the Safety Adapter.
3. Plug the adapter into the wall. Only its earth pin makes contact. The socket doesn't need to be switched on.
4. Route it safely. Along the bed frame or wall, not across a walkway and not trapped in a door or window. A yanked cord loses its snap; a crushed cord can break inside.

How do I check the cord is working?

The tester pen can't check a cord — it only tells you a surface conducts. The cord's job is the connection between the product and the earth, and two things test that:

1. The socket tester confirms the outlet the cord plugs into has a live earth.
2. A continuity tester confirms an unbroken path from the product's surface, through the snap and cord, to that earth. Continuity at the cord's snap but not at the surface means the surface is coated; none at the snap means the cord or adapter.

Without a continuity tester, a working socket, a firm snap and a properly seated adapter are the practical checks — and a multimeter reading of your body voltage dropping when you touch the connected product is the definitive proof the whole chain works.

What does the resistor do?

Inside the cord is a 100 kΩ (100,000-ohm) resistor. In normal use it's invisible — the Earth's charge passes through it freely. In the extremely unlikely event of a household electrical fault reaching the earth wire, it limits any current to a level below what you can feel. It's the reason the cord is safe to sleep connected to, every night. What no small resistor is built for is a direct lightning strike — nothing in a home is — which is why we suggest one simple habit below.

When should I replace the cord?

1. The snap no longer clicks or falls off the stud on its own. The spring inside has worn.
2. A continuity tester shows no path at the snap with the socket confirmed good — the conductor has broken inside, usually from being crushed or bent repeatedly at one point.
3. Visible damage — a cut, a crushed section, or an adapter with a loose pin.

A spare cord is also simply convenient: one for the bed and one for the sofa mat saves re-plugging.

Does one cord fit every Naturalive product?

Yes. Sheets, pillowcases, toppers and mats all use the same snap stud.

Can I use one cord for two products?

One cord, one product at a time. Two products in use at once need a cord each.

Does the socket need to be switched on?

No. The earth pin is connected whether the switch is on or off.

Is it safe to sleep connected?

Yes. The cord touches only the earth pin, and the 100 kΩ resistor limits any ordinary fault current to an imperceptible level.
