How do I set up the fitted grounding sheet?

1. Fit the sheet. Remove your usual fitted sheet and put this one on in its place, elastic corners tucked under the mattress. It goes on top — it must be the layer your skin touches. Find the metal connection button near one corner.
2. Snap the cord. Press the Safety Grounding Cord onto the button until it clicks.
3. Plug in. Cord into the Safety Adapter, adapter into the wall socket. Only the earth pin makes contact; the socket doesn't need to be switched on.
4. Sleep on it. Bare legs, arms or back on the weave. Skin spans many silver lines at once, so contact is effortless. Thin cotton sleepwear allows a partial connection; synthetics block it.

How do I check it's working?

Two checks, each proving one half. Neither proves the other.

1. The socket — is the earth there? Plug a socket tester (in the Tester Kit) into the wall socket and match its lights to the printed legend. The correct-wiring pattern means the earth pin is live. Only this check proves the earth; the pen can't see it. Once per socket.
2. The sheet — does the silver conduct? Look closely at the fabric: the silver runs through the cotton as a fine grid of thread lines. The pen lights only when both of its tips rest directly on a silver line. On the plain cotton between the lines — most of the sheet — it stays dark, and that's normal, not a fault. Find a line, lay both tips along it, hold still a second: it lights, the silver conducts. Try one line near the button and one far from it. Repeat monthly and after every new detergent.
3. Both together — live earth at the wall, conducting sheet snapped and plugged into it — is a grounded bed.

Want proof on your own body? A multimeter on AC volts: one probe to the earth through the adapter, one in your hand. Note the reading, then lie on the connected sheet — the number falls toward zero. That drop is grounding, measured; message us and we'll walk you through it.

How do I wash a grounding sheet?

Washing is what keeps the sheet conducting, and the only thing that can stop it. The silver thread doesn't wear out; it gets coated.

• Every one to two weeks, machine-wash warm (up to 40 °C) or cool — never hot.
• Plain liquid detergent, free of softener, bleach, fragrance, essential oils, optical brighteners and dyes.
• Line-dry or tumble low. No dryer sheets.
• Body lotion and oils at least an hour before bed.

What if the pen doesn't light?

1. Are both tips on a silver line? This is the reason nine times out of ten. Find a visible silver thread, align both tips along it — not across the plain cotton — and hold still for a second.
2. The wash. Still dark on a line? Check your detergent label for the four. Wash the sheet twice in plain detergent, dry, test on a line again.
3. The button. Touch the pen to the metal button. Lit there but not on any line means the threads are coated — back to step 2.
4. The pen. If it lights on nothing, not even the button, message us; we'll replace it.

What if the socket tester shows a fault?

Use another socket. If every socket fails, send us a photo; a grounding rod is the usual answer. If both checks pass and you still doubt the link between them, reseat the snap and the adapter; a continuity tester checks the whole chain.

One-year warranty on defects. Connection guaranteed for 60 days — the weave measured 1.7 Ω/sq surface resistivity at Bureau Veritas, and if yours can't be grounded we test it with you and refund in full. Frequently asked questions

Why does the pen only light in some spots?

Because only the silver thread lines conduct; the cotton between them doesn't. The pen needs both tips on a line. Your body doesn't have that problem — a leg or an arm on the sheet spans many lines at once.

Does the pen prove I'm grounded?

No. It proves the silver conducts. The socket tester proves the earth is present at the wall. Together they're the practical proof; a multimeter reading of your body voltage dropping is the definitive one.

Can I put a normal sheet over the grounding sheet?

Not if you want it to work — the grounding sheet must be the layer your skin touches. A thin cotton top sheet over your body is fine.

Does it work through pyjamas?

Partly, if thin natural fibre like cotton. Synthetics and thick fabrics block it. Bare legs or arms on the sheet is the reliable way.

Which sizes does it fit?

The Single is 203 × 93 cm with a 40 cm pocket; Super Single, Queen and King are cut for the mattresses sold in Singapore and Malaysia. Message us to confirm a measurement from the box.
